Florida is one hot destination for families at any time of the year, but the summer season is even more popular, because this is when almost every family has time off for travel.  The state has numerous attractions that satisfy the wants and needs of many families, so there really isn’t a city that people cannot stay in while visiting the area.

However, there are 5 destinations that are better than the rest during the summer months in Florida and they include:

  1. Miami

Water, sun, and sand draw many people to the beaches in Miami and while the summer heat can be dreadful, everyone will find themselves cooling off one way or another.  A great experience for most people will be a tour of Biscayne Bay by boat.  These tours are available near the shores of the Bay adjacent to the Bayside Marketplace and they last approximately eighty minutes.  During the boat ride, guests will see the homes of the rich and famous as well as ordinary people and the friendly tour guide will point them all out as well as tell stories about a few of them.

After the cruise, people can enjoy a meal at one of the restaurants inside Bayside Marketplace including Bubba Gump’s, Hooters, Hard Rock Café, and Five Guys.  There are plenty of places to grab a cup of coffee and dessert too.

Everyone needs a place to stay while in Miami and weekly hotels are a fabulous solution.  Every weekly hotel offers spacious rooms, in-room kitchens, and reduced rates.  Anyone can search for a weekly hotel on the Weekly Hotel website and it is quite easy.  Simply type in the destination, dates of visit, the number of people, and then click on search.  A list of hotels will pop up and those that offer reduced rates for weekly stays are listed with a red weekly hotels sign.

The Extended Stay America Miami Brickell Port has rooms for $99 per night when the room is reserved for a minimum of seven nights.  This rate includes a grab and go breakfast in addition to the in-room kitchen, free high speed wireless internet, and shuttle service to local attractions.  This weekly hotel is only two miles from the Bayside Marketplace, three miles from Marlins Stadium, and ten miles from South Beach.

At the Homewood Suites Miami Airport, guests can reserve a room for $109 per night and this includes the airport shuttle, breakfast, fitness center, business center, free shuttle, high speed internet, in-room kitchen, and the pool.  Miami Beach is only six miles from this weekly hotel and Coral Gables is only five miles.

  1. Lake Buena Vista

Lake Buena Vista is considered to be part of the Walt Disney Company enterprise and many of the residents in this area work for the company.  That doesn’t mean that it is not considered a fantastic vacation destination though.  Travelers who stay in this area want to be close to all the Disney Theme Parks without staying directly on Disney Theme Park property.  The weekly hotels in this area are quite a bit cheaper than the Theme Park hotels and visitors have a lot more flexibility when they use these hotels.

A room at the Homewood Suites Orlando Theme Park is $139 per night, which includes breakfast, the fitness center, high speed internet, in-room kitchen, the pool, and much more.  This weekly hotel is half a mile from SeaWorld, eleven miles from Disney World, seven miles from Universal, and three and a half miles from the Premium Outlets.

Townplace Suites Flamingo Marriott has rates at $125 per night, which is much less than regular hotel rooms in the area.  Guests will have multiple amenities at this weekly hotel including breakfast, free parking, pool, jacuzzi, and an in-room kitchen.  Everyone loves that this hotel is only three to five miles from all the Disney Theme Parks and fifteen miles from Universal Studios.

  1. Orlando

It is all about the theme parks in Orlando, just like it is in Lake Buena Vista.  However, Orlando is where many of the tourists will stay during the time they are vacationing.  The most popular theme parks in Orlando include SeaWorld, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, Universal Studios, and Islands of Adventure.

In between the time people spend at the park, they are going to want to be somewhere where they can relax and have fun.  Weekly hotels are the perfect option, because each one has phenomenal amenities that everyone will enjoy.

The weekly hotel of Extended Stay America Orlando has rates of $67 per night, which includes a delicious grab and go breakfast, internet, fitness center, in-room kitchen, and much more.  This hotel is one mile from Disney World, five miles from SeaWorld, and ten miles from Universal Studios.

Home2 Orlando I-Drive South has rooms at $99 per night and many of their rooms connect, which is perfect for families traveling together.  The kitchen has everything that guests could possibly need to cook and eat a delicious meal at any time during their stay.  This weekly hotel is only six miles from Disney World, four miles from SeaWorld, and nine miles from Universal.

  1. Fort Myers

Fort Myers Beach is only one of the beaches in the area that people will want to visit while they are there.  A few other options include Lover’s Key, Turner Beach, and Sanibel Lighthouse Beach.  Travelers will need a place to rinse of all that sand and weekly hotels are the perfect option.

A quick search on the weekly hotels website reveals numerous weekly hotel options.  The Candlewood Suites Fort Myers I75 has rates at $61 per night, which is amazing considering all the amenities that are available.  Guests can park for free, use the internet for free, plus use the fitness center.  Sun Harvest Citrus is right down the road, and guests will love their orange juice, lemonade, baked goods, and ice cream.

Homewood Suites Fort Myers has rooms available for $105 per night and this includes a hot breakfast every morning, an in-room kitchen space, pool, fitness center, and more.  This weekly hotel is ten miles from the beach and six miles from the Henry Ford and Thomas Edison Estates.

  1. Tampa

Aquariums, zoos, theme parks, museums, and river walks can be found in abundance in Tampa.  Visitors can visit multiple attractions during their stay, while learning about the history and culture of the city.  Evenings can be spent down by the water, walking, as the sun is setting in the nighttime sky.

Weekly hotels are wonderful for people who are staying in Tampa.  These hotels are close to many of the popular attractions and they offer amenities that many other hotels do not.  The Townplace Suites North Marriott has rooms at $109 per night, which includes breakfast, the fitness center, free parking, free internet, in-room kitchen, pool, and recreational activities.  This hotel is three miles from Busch Gardens and seventeen miles from the bay’s beaches.

The Extended Stay America Tampa Airport N West has room rates available at $68 per night and that includes all their amenities and a grab and go breakfast.  This weekly hotel is only thirteen miles from Adventure Island and Busch Gardens, and two miles from the Raymond James Stadium.

Weekly hotels are fantastic options for travelers who are traveling during the summer months.  These hotels offer in-room kitchens, so people can save a lot of money during their vacation.  The hotels also have quite a few amenities and spaces that have flexible usage times, so that guests can feel like they are within their own home even though they are traveling.
